Today, OG is stepping away from Rocket League esports. This decision was not made lightly, as we had high hopes and aspirations for our journey to begin in the Rocket League Championship Series.

For over a year, we had been eyeing an entry into the RLCS, and we believed the 2024 season presented a unique opportunity for OG to expand into North America. We saw great potential in our roster and were rewarded with top regional performances and international event qualifications, however, despite our successes, the reality of the ecosystem has proven challenging to continue.

As many others this season have already felt, the Rocket League ecosystem is not sustainable for teams aiming to compete at the highest level; the lack of sponsorship, digital revenue, and events in general makes it difficult to maintain a top-tier team.

We must also acknowledge our shortcomings as an organization in producing more content and achieving better international results. It’s tough to say “of course we’ll be back if things improve” however, we remain hopeful that the passion and potential within the Rocket League community will lead to positive changes in the future.

Working with our team over the past ten months has been an absolute pleasure. They embodied the values of OG and gave us countless memorable moments. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the OG fans and the Rocket League community for their unwavering support.

Thank you to noly, comm, Jknaps, and Torment for your dedication and hard work. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we are incredibly proud of what we achieved in our short time together.
