1. General Information
1.1 Tournament Name
- Name of the Tournament: Monkey Business Challenge Dota2 #1
1.2 Tournament Dates
- Tournament Start: 22nd of November 2024
- Tournament End: 24th of November 2024
- Registration Deadline: 22nd of November 2024
1.3 Eligibility
- Players must be registered Dota 2 players with valid Steam accounts.
- Minimum Age: Players must be at least 16 years old.
- Players must reside in Europe.
- Teams must consist of 5 players (5 starters and 1 optional substitute).
2. Tournament Structure
2.1 Format
- Tournament format: [Single Elimination / Double Bracket].
- Grand Finals will be Best of [3].
2.2 Match Schedule
- Match dates and times will be provided via Faceit.
- Teams must be ready 15 minutes before the scheduled match time.
- Delays beyond 15 minutes will result in a forfeit.
2.3 Game Settings
- Game Version: Latest Dota 2 patch.
- Spectators: Only tournament-approved spectators are allowed (such as casters).
2.4. Prize Pool
- 2nd Place: 5 x 50€ in vouchers for OG Shop
- 3rd/4th Place: 5 x 30€ in vouchers for OG Shop
3. Team Composition and Rosters
3.1 Roster Rules
- Each team must consist of 5 players, with the option to register 1 substitute.
- Substitutes must be registered before the tournament begins.
- Roster changes after the start of the tournament are not allowed.
3.2 Team Captains
- Each team must appoint a captain.
- The captain is responsible for communicating with tournament admins and opposing teams.
3.3 Substitutions
- Substitutions are only allowed between matches.
- Substitutes must be registered on the team roster prior to the start of the tournament.
4. Match Rules 4.1 Picks and Bans
4.1 Picks and Bans
- Matches will follow Captain’s Mode pick and ban rules.
- Teams must complete their draft within the time limit specified by the game client.
4.2 Server and Side Selection
- The higher-seeded team will choose the server.
- Coin toss (or similar method) will decide Radiant or Dire side selection for game 1, alternating for each game thereafter.
4.3 No-Show Policy
- If a team fails to show up within 15 minutes of the scheduled match time, they forfeit the match.
4.4 Disconnects and Reconnects
- In case of disconnections, the game will be paused until the player reconnects.
- If a player cannot reconnect within 10 minutes, the team may continue 4v5 or forfeit.
5. Conduct and Fair Play
5.1 Player Conduct
- Unsportsmanlike behavior, including harassment, racism, or any form of discrimination, is strictly prohibited.
- Players must follow all instructions from tournament admins and officials.
5.2 Cheating and Exploits
- Cheating, including the use of third-party software or game exploits, is strictly forbidden.
- Any team found cheating will be disqualified from the tournament.
5.3 Streaming
- Players and teams are encouraged to stream their matches but must include a delay of 5 minutes to prevent unfair advantages.
- Official streams and casters must be allowed to spectate without interference.
6. Disputes and Appeals
6.1 Reporting Issues
- All issues, including match disputes, must be reported to a tournament admin immediately.
- Teams have 10 minutes to report any disputes after a match has concluded.
6.2 Admin Decisions
- Tournament admins have the final say in all disputes.
- Admin decisions are final and binding.
6.3 Appeals Process
- If a team wishes to appeal a ruling, they must submit an appeal in writing to the tournament organizers within 24 hours.
7. Health and Safety Guidelines
7.1 Breaks
- Teams are entitled to a 5-minute break between games in a series.
- Teams are entitled to a 10-minute break between a series.
7.2 Physical and Mental Health
- Players are encouraged to take regular breaks and stay hydrated during the tournament.
8. Media Rights
8.1 Content Use
- By participating, players and teams agree that their gameplay may be recorded and used in tournament promotion, broadcasts, and highlights.
8.2 Player Image
- Players agree to allow the use of their in-game names and likeness for tournament promotional purposes.
9. Amendments and Changes
- The tournament organizers reserve the right to modify or update these rules at any time.
- Any changes will be communicated to teams in a timely manner.
